The Story of Wyrmhole:
For all time remembered seafarers told of a small isle of black stone in the far southern reaches of the Shifting Sea. A dark land from which few sailors making landfall had ever returned. The superstitious named it, Yatish, meaning the absence of light in the old tongue. Inhabited by evil sorcerers they said, dark skinned creatures that moved from one place to another using only their thoughts. Disappearing through clouds only to reappear as the cloud formed in a new location.
Maps show no land south of Illantul only endless sea, but claims of this island’s existence have persisted throughout the ages. It is from this, Yatish, that the Wyrmhole is said to have been forged. A blade bearing the image of a dragon appearing from a shadowy black doorway. The wielder of the Wyrmhole can call forth a shadow door at will, bringing the mighty dragon through to his aid. It has also been said that blade bearer can enter the shadow door with his dragon and then reopen the door in any other previously known location, possibly traveling vast distances without the passage of time.
